I think it stems from the fact that having a tan makes you look more healthy than being extremely pale. Having a tan also makes you look slimmer. Even if you think about how are minds subconsciously work when finding a partner we look for someone who appears healthy. Think about in the stone age the ones that would hunt would be tanned from the sun and seem fitter to mate with.

no one can pull off a tan like whites becuz of their fair skin, they can get rosy tan, peachy tan, light tan, maybe 1 day just beautiful white skin with rosy cheecks
they r THE COLORED, U R JUST JEALOUS

im pretty pale, i mean, REALLY pale…and most people tell me i’m hot. tanning CAN give you a slimming effect, but i’m in really good shape and my body type is pretty good. i dont look unhealthy though. people who say pale people look unhealthy just dont know what theyre talking about. yes, when you get sick you become pale, but you can be pale and have kind of a glow to your skin without looking weird…YAY PALE PEOPLE!

yay!!! =) i love both pale and tan people.. im light skinned asian and i love it. i prefer being light than tan or dark but idc if ppl are tan or what. im no racist.. =)

one thing i like about being light is that u stand out in pictures coz the camera flash reflects from the skin.. hehe

dita von teese is the WHITEST WOMAN i know but she is WAYYYY HOTTER than most tan women. beauty is not based entirely on color,. u need the right attitude to pull off ur look. im not racist.. i love both light and tan. im just saying that some could get a tan and still look NOT instead of HOT lol

@Crazzzybabie my point is u dont need to get a tan to look hot. Like Dita who’s pale white and is still HOT even if she doesnt tan. U can be hot with just ur natural color with the right attitude and confidence.. That’s just my point.. Halle Berry is really beautiful with her natural skin and doesnt need to whiten her skin to look pretty.
