well sorry to say the lower middle class with children walk a fine line paying bills monthly and a loss of a job or car repairs etc can send you into a spiral that you cant come out of. All im say collection companys should be able to purchase bad accts for pennys on the dollar but SHOULD NOT be able to access interest and late fees to force a person into slavery and bankruptcy. just my two cents.

put in $30 gives you some harassing calls files the paperwork and makes a exuberant profit and theres nothing you can do or the bank can do because theres a legal judgement against your account. and when your account is gone the will levy your payroll check and garnish your wages at 25% and confiscate any tax return you have coming back to you with interest and late fees. Quite the racket if you ask me. The rich prick would say hey just pay your bills and dont buy anything you dont need.

what happens is the cc company sells it to a collecion agency for pennys on the dollar probably in this instance $30 and the collection agency sits on it letting it ripen with interest and late fees until it was up to $2000.00 then if you have a funded bank account they go to court to get a judgement against your account which the bank is forced to comply with. They confiscate your money at more than 10 times what you originally owed with no legal recourse. so the collection co.

speaking from experience the bank is not a fault in these collection instances. believe its not my motive to defend the bank but in these collection cases its the collection agencies are the new mafia. for my own stupid reasons i let a credit card go to collecions that i had $200 on go into collections.

Lets put things in perspective, America had a good run and we all enjoyed its excesses but it was never designed to last because of one extreme flaw that the forefathers overlooked, that would be the absolute truth that all men are absolutely evil. When the laws of the land protect its criminals and there is no fear of justice, then you have America 2008.

Many fallacies and mistakes in your statement: I didn’t enjoy any excesses. Speak for yourself, sir. Secondly, of course people are not evil – Western Civ and “capitalism”, however, rewards the morally corrupt and ethically bankrupt (the crocodilians), so they rise to positions of power, where they perpetrate.
The failure is due to faulty underlying principles, some of which are a system built on growth and conquest (the Star Trek principle). This is cancerous and of course unsustainable.

Let me get this straight.
You don’t advocate holding a gun, but when a crisis occurs, you intend to trade cartridges (not bullets) with people who need them, and obviously DO hold guns. This may work once or twice, but eventually you will encounter a dishonest person who will simply take your asset by force.

These 401k’s are worthless anyways… The work hours, skills that were traded for it are NOT…
What is the point of “pre-tax” contributions when these porfolios crash left and right. And than there is a 20% tax after you qualify to withdraw… And than there is an INFLATION tax…
What’s the point in 401k’s anyways? NONE! It’s a scam.

@hhijklmjoe that is totally unttrue. all they need is a process server to file an affadavit of service stating under oath that said pricess server gave you the summons/other papers OR gave it to someone who told you that they were authorized to accept the service on your behalf. They say in the recording that the co. claimed they served the woman’s sister. She had no sister. So they filed a fraduland Affadavit of Service. I am a process server. No signatures are required.
