Here’s my suggestion for collecting lives for this level: Go to Loopdeswoop and beat the course in a minute and a half or less (not too hard once you have practice). Then go back to the island you landed on (multiple little penguins), follow the path of sling stars, and collect star bits galore on the way.

It too like 60 tries with Mario for me for the Luigi’s purple coins. I made it on the 3rd try with Luigi.
I bought the game back in end of October 2009, and beat the game with Mario in 2 months and beat the game with Luigi in just one week. Luigi can move faster, jump higher, jump longer, he is much more fit than Mario. It should be called Super Luigi Galaxy. Mario gets pwned by Luigi,
