Do you give personal information to buy prepaid credit cards?
I want a credit card and buy what I am a bit embarrassing. . . Do I have my personal information to buy a prepaid card offer credit? I just want to buy something once it has been.

Yes. You will always have to give your personal information, including your social security number, when applying for any type of credit card. However with a prepaid card, you will not receive an itemized bill, unless you request one, and the account associated with the card will not show up on your credit report. On the merchant side, your purchases will still be traceable.
You can build up your available balance on your prepaid card simply by making cash deposits at most major grocery stores and gas stations. A prepaid card works a lot like a debit card – once the money is gone, it’s gone. A prepaid card will not allow you to charge over the available balance and there are no bills or interest fees.

First of all, your financial records are private, so even if you use a standard credit card, no one will know about it. Unless you share the account that is. Most companies that sell embarrassing items like sex toys will use a innocent sounding name on the invoice and packaging – they want you to feel comfortable. Check out their web pages for more info.
Still, if you really want to use a separate card, for a one time purchase a Visa gift card is ideal. It can be used as a credit card and has no name associated with it. You also do not get a statement because when it’s empty, you throw it away. If you want to make several purchases or get a subscription, a Visa/Mastercard prepaid debit card may be better. These cards are sold at Walmart and other retail stores and are reloadable. Read the information on the packaging very carefully and make sure you fully understand the fees involved (purchase, loading, monthly, statement, etc). You will have to give basic personal information to use this card, however it is not reported to the credit agencies unless somehow you end up with a negative balance and fail to pay it off (very unlikely).
