Who offers the best interest rates on savings accounts?
I am interested in filing a $ 25-50k in a savings account. An online account is allowed as long as it provides the FDIC.

Go to http://www.bankrate.com/brm/compare_rates_home.asp to compare the best rates, also stop by local credit unions (some are offering 4% or better on checking accounts with direct deposit).

I know what you are thinking because I have done the same thing before.After 7 years of research I would like to recomend another alternative. American funds is a mutual fund company that has posted over 12% return anually since the begining of the company. Now the market is tanked if you buy now in 5 to 10 years you will be extemely wealthy. Another option is checking finder .com. These are checking accounts that have huge intrest rates usually outpacing traditionalsavings accounts. I would love to talk to you further.
