cars to natural gas in da house!
the Arab oil embargo of 1973 events, and today we are still dependent on oil than ever. Â The fact is that after 35 years we are almost in the same position, flipped on oil. Â technology is now catching up at an exponential rate. Â The different alternative fuel cars begin gaining ground. Â There are hybrids, ethanol motor powered roaming vegetable oil, battery and gasoline cars in the streets. P>
P>
We know that the U.S. consumes 21 million barrels of oil per day. Â As a country we produce about 86 million barrels fourth and imports the rest from other countries. A Unfortunately our consumption exceeds our production. Â And as far as reserves go we are number 11 on this list. Â But there is another source of energy that is rarely spoken. P>
P>
U.S. fourth largest natural gas reserves in the world (gravmag. com / oil. html). Â So why we are a country still so dependent on oil? Mea A beats? |. We use gas to cook our food, our clothes to dry and heat our bath water. Â It would be logical, natural gas (CNG) to be able to use our cars. Â But alas, there must be an unwritten agreement out there against natural gas powered vehicles. Â Now there are at least one manufacturer with an open mind! P>
P>
Honda remains the only automaker to sell a car powered by natural gas to be on American soil. â?? Only about 1,000 of 300,000 Honda Civic small cars sold each year in the United States are natural gas GX version (usatoday. com/money/autos/2007-05-08-natural-gas-usat_N. Htm). â?? It is the mission? S a small number of CNG vehicles. Â The negatives outweigh the positivesâ? |. . Right? | Â? | Wrong !!!! p>
P>
Some of the advantages of a car to natural gas. P>
1) Â Â Â Â cars get gas as well as consumption of fuel than regular gasoline powered cars and is better in many cases the MPG. Â The Civic GX gets up to 39 mpg on the highway! A> p>
2) â â â â â price per gallon is cheaper. The AVERAGEA? |. . Natural gas is much cheaper than regular gasoline. P>
3) Â Â Â Â Â The little Honda Civic GX produces fewer emissions then the Toyota Prius, which makes the internal combustion engine the cleanest on the market today (usatoday. com / money/autos/2007-05-08-natural usat_N gas. htm). P>
P>
Now
ITA?? time for the negatives associated with natural gas supplied air cars. P>
1) Â Â Â Â Â CNG cars are a few thousand dollars more expensive than their counterparts. Â It costs money to be on the cutting edge of technology! Â On average the GX is only 2 more than the Grand-hybrid. A> p>
2) Â Â Â Â Â Â The trunk is slightly smaller because of the gas cylinder and associated parts. P>
3) Â Â Â Â Â There are not many gas stations around that sell CNG. Â In the greenhouse gas stations across the country far behind to sell E85 or other biofuels. P>
P>
So now, the negative is really not too bad. Â And add to that the fact that there are huge discounts available to buy a CNG car, hybrid and do not really find our salvation. Â And of course I save the biggest and best news for last! A Honda has invested some money in the Canadian company called based FuelMaker Corp., which sells natural gas refilling stations for your home. Â Now you donâ? T have to worry about finding a job in the real world. A and the best part is that it costs a mere $ 1. 25 p. gallon (usatoday. com/money/autos/2007-05-08-natural-gas-usat_N. Htm)! Â I can not wait to buy one of these CARSA CNG? |. soon as I sell my Hummer? |. all interested buyers? P>
