Will a Class D felony conviction keep me from getting a Kentucky State Health Insurance License?

Not necessarily so.

If the felony wasn’t Insurance related (which it is not)and you get letters of recommendation from friends and local business people which are sent to your Insurance licensing commission then you have a good chance. Just be honest and don’t hold anything back on the application. If they find out that you are not telling everything then they will Deny your license.

You must also write a letter convincing the licensing division that you have sought treatment and are completely recovered.

I had a friend with a class D felony who did this…Lost his insurance license and after 3 years probation was given the opportunity to get his license back.

I have to say however that this is my state. Each State may have “not so lenient laws”.
