are there any banks with passbook savings accounts?
Question : are there any banks with passbook savings accounts?
i currently have accounts for my kids at bank of america which doesn’t have passbook accounts. I want to switch to passbook so my kids can see money put it and have a running account.. what banks in the nj area has this? if any?

I tried that till I was blue in the face.
No one offers those anymore.
The kids are happy with their monthly statement, and seeing their balances online. They also have a shiny ATM card.
It’s its worth your time, set them up in exell with a check register.

I don’t believe there are any left that do. If you want a book for your kids to record their savings just use any note book. You do get statements from the bank for each account. Also if you have access to a computer; set up accounts on an Excel sheet (Standard in Microsoft office). On there they can also calculate how much their savings will be if they continue to save. Use flash drive(s) to save info.
