Question : Auto insurance in Military?
My family is active duty military, and our vehicle is registered in SC. We have auto insurance through USAA, and we are PCSing to California. We are going to keep our vehicle registered in SC, so when we change our insurance will we have to have insurance for SC and CA?

I doubt it. Just contact USAA and tell them what’s going on (I’m sure they are familiar with this situation a dozen times daily) and they will advise you what to do. Your rates will certainly rise some, though..
Insurance is in the state of residence, but proof of insurance will have to be provided to state of registration, all handled by the insurance company.
