medical insurance companies
FORWARD THIS VIDEO! Join the fight: sickforprofit.com What does UnitedHealthcare CEO Stephen Hemsley have to lose if Congress passes real healthcare reform this year? Well, for starters, his nearly three quarters of a billion dollars in unexercised stock options might lose a few pennies on the dollar. What does Isabella, a four year-old girl in Winsconsin who is physically incapable of eating and has had to be tube fed her entire life, have to gain from healthcare reform? The treatment she needs to live a normal life. Brave New Films is launching a major new campaign to reveal the truth about the health insurance industry, and we need your help to do it. Health care is just another business…it has to be profitable or it doesnt survie or exist…its nobody’s business how much money they make…they provide a service for a fee…like everyone else…how much money does a movie star make or a rock star or a football player…do they owe any of you anything…NO…They dont and neither does the insurance company…Go live in Europe…see how you like it there you socialist @#%@!!!…

@modzero1 In the same paragraph, you mention that insurance companies provide a service for a fee and then you say that they don’t owe you anything. If you’re paying your fees and abiding by their policies, they better owe you something, namely, health coverage. The point of this video is that, although policy holders are paying their fees, they are denied service by the companies as a money saving strategy, when they are already making more than enough.

These videos are stupid. Because for as much as health Insurance companies take money they pay out more in claims. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and United paid all her claims on time and didn’t deny any suggestions for treatments. So you take your time making demons out of these companies and Ill take my time thanking them for giving my mom life.

@stavie03 There are people sitting in office today that would do a better job for most citizens than would many that are running for that spot today.
A better solution is to move towards greater voting power by citizens on all or on many bills (allowing for representation of votes by those we trust and can “fire” much quicker than in 2 or 6 years should we find out we don’t like their past votes). Those in office would have less pressure from lobbyists, and lobbyists could not buy up everyone.

@purplexxy Oh, I thought you meant that they pay out more in claims than they take in through revenues, meaning they would be losing money.
It’s too easy to find legal contract loopholes to deny coverage when profits are down for the quarter. For-profit giants can keep prices extra high and are beholden to stock holders not to their customers or to the ill. There are advantages, but there should be more restrictions to force a baseline service to the ill and unprofitable.

@modzero1 You’ll be singing a different tune when you find out you have a brain tumor and your insurance company denies your claim because its a pre-existing condition or your condition is considered terminal and there is no reason they need to pay for your 50k surgery if you’re most likely going to die anyway. Then all the years of paying 300 bucks a month is all down the drain. You basically pissed your money away. Money that could’ve gone to the economy or even put your kids through college.

@purplexxy this system is broken..im glad your mom is alive. however getting slaves to thank their master for a whipping happens in civilizations historically. that is fact, and is exactly what your doing. i watched a close friend of mine die from cancer when he WAS covered because he was denied treatment due to a board of directors monetary decision. health care doesnt have to cost a thing. it shouldnt. its a fundamental keystone of society.break you mental chains

@runelord37 How can health care not cost a thing? You either pay higher taxes or premmiums. Ill break mental chains you use common sense.
Doctors in America charge twice as much for their services then any other country. Why? Law suits and the cost of medical school. It should have been a medical pricing reform not a health insurance reform -

Really, if its Liberal Bias how bout you give me the real number then from a credible source, BUT THEY NEVER DO.!
