My complaint is about battery and charging. I’ve already invested plenty of time trying to resolve this issue but the merchant company is basically telling me to buy another machine since I opted out of the equipment protection plan.
The machine was working just fine for a few month, and then suddenly the battery started draining at all times. Right now I don’t have any money I can spend to buy another machine. So what I do is to charge the machine to 100% and remove the battery from the machine until I need to use the machine.
Charging the power is dysfunctional too. The green/red light of the charger is always inconsistent with the charge status.
For your information, I never dropped the machine or anything. I always put it in a case to protect it.
As a street vendor I came across other vendors who also use this machine. They seem to have different issues than mine.
One vendor from Southern California was telling me that the wireless connection does not connect at all and is unable to use the machine. So he has to take the credit card info and have the customer sign, and later on he process the transactions elsewhere. That really sucks, I think.
Another vendor said she replaced the charger a few times and always carry a few extra in case the charger fails because the chargers did fail on her before.
My charger was always acting strange and had to get a new one but the new one broke where it connects to the machine. The way the connection is made is very weak and it is too delicate. This machine is used by people who do not have a land connection, and often we are the outside vendor or traveling vendor so the part that connects machine and charger SHOULD be sturdy, but this one isn’t.
I will be happy when I have money and don’t have to continue using this machine! But right now I am surviving by keeping the battery separately from the machine just so the power doesn’t drain. It takes only a few hours to drain the entire battery if I don’t do that.
Get something better than this one.
