Will Mutual Fund prices rise quickly after the bailout bill is passed?
Question : Will Mutual Fund prices rise quickly after the bailout bill is passed?
I know certain stocks will rise, however, doesn’t a sudden drop in a mutual fund’s price sometimes “kill” the mutual fund to where it will never recover? I don’t personally own any mutual funds because I have seen this happen to mutual funds about once every 5-7 years for the past 20 years.

Hey Yeshua2000 -
Mutual funds are a family or pool of either stocks, bonds or a combination of both. Therefore, mutual funds are, by design, less volatile then single stocks or bonds. They are designed for more stability. That is my understanding, and if I am wrong, then I have been misinformed.
Mutual funds is 80% of my retirement portfolio, but over the last several months, I have realized a false sense of security and am starting to think of other investment tools.
Oh, and no, I do not believe mutual fund prices will rise quickly.
