Question : How can I turn my passion into a career………?
I love teaching/speaking and talking about financial literacy. I DO NOT want to become a financial planner or a investment salesperson. Being financial literate involves more than just “investing”. I also studied finance in colleage and I volunteer on weekends teaching financial literacy courses.

I hope to write a book before the year is over as well as create other info products(CD’s, budgeting software, etc…….) I also want to become a paid speaker and speak at colleages and universities and provide telesiminars and workshops, coaching, etc………

Has anyone ever turned their passion into a career? If so what did you do and does my idea sound far fetched?
financial planner software

I had a passion for inventing new products, especially products that would help to make people’s lives better, or to save a person’s life during an emergency. I turned this passion into a very lucrative business by developing a new source of unlimited electricity that was quite revolutionary and using financing that I had socked away from my day job, I hired three people, got grants from the US Government for putting three people to work, thus taking these three people off the unemployed list, and within five years increased the number of employees in my company to 250. I then went looking for a buyer for a very successful business with a secured client list and found two. I worked out the best deal I could for all my employees, they would continue to receive the same exact benefits from the new owners of the company that I was giving to them, and walked away from the deal a very happy camper.

Now, I have gotten involved in doing day trading and I find this a lot of fun, especially if I don’t get greedy, and I am earning a very comfortable living doing something that I enjoy doing.

In regards to you, I would suggest that you start contacting senior citizens, that are out-of-the-loop, insofar as not having a 401K or a retirement fund set up and speaking to them about the pro’s and con’s of making the right choices in investing. You will have to become licensed under the State that you reside in, inorder to do this, but if your on the up and up about doing this, then that shouldn’t be any problem for you. Being licensed keeps the con men from taking advantage of these people.

Good Luck and enjoy doing what you love to do.

Thank you
