Why aren’t black managers punished for making racist comments to white employees?
Question : Why aren’t black managers punished for making racist comments to white employees?
I’m sure this question is going to be removed because people on Yahoo Answers are so extremely, utterly, and insanely oversensitive. But I’m going to try anyway because this really is a legitimate question.
Several years back, when I was working as a temp at an auditing firm, there was a black software trainer there to train employees on the inventory software. She repeatedly insulted me, followed by questioning the other manager why there weren’t more black temps there. And, (get this!) she refused to train any white employees. Nothing was done. No upper management took any action against her.
If this had been a white manager making racially charged comments against black employees, there would have been lawsuits, a media frenzy, and hell to pay! Now, I’m not trying to provoke anger here. I don’t think anyone should be making racist comments to anyone else. I just want to know why there is a double standard.
