Question : Can investment banking firms help gain entrance to Ivy League business programs?
I have an interview coming up at a boutique firm in investment banking that I have been preparing for. I noticed that almost every member of the firm had an MBA from an Ivy League school on the bios. Do recommendations from members of a firm that you work for hold much weight in admissions to MBA programs?

Sure, but it matters more about your GMAT, resume, years of service, marks, and prestige of your undergrad.

For my MBA, the years of service and salary were major requirements – all MBA schools want to jack up their average graduate salary, so picking people who already make a lot does that.
