Question : How come I can’t stick with any career?
Right now I’m 16 years old. I go to High-School and I’m a pretty good student.

Even though I’m supposed to have fun, I do a lot of research about different careers that I’m interested in. A few of my friend’s already have an idea in the direction that they want to go. I however, change my idea literally daily. Even now, in the summer, I still think about it.

It’s so annoying, sometimes I just drive myself insane thinking about it. The longest that I’ve been with one career was a week. I just want to pick the right one or stop thinking about it.

Some of the careers that I thought of were a Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Pharmacist, Cardiologist, Heart Surgeon.

History Teacher (Elementary-College), Lawyer, Business Manager, Financial Advisor/Planner, something like what you see on Law & Order (The people that go out and integrate the people), and a Cop.

Computer Scientist, Computer engineer, Graphic Artist, Software Developer, and that’s about all I could think of.

I truly have thought of all of these careers at one point. My true dream is to start a Business and become a billionaire. That’s truly want I want in this life, but I can’t think of any ideas that could get me there besides from starting a new technology company like Sony or Microsoft.

Please help me, if you’d like to know my interests, please feel free to read my profile or contact me through e-mail. I really need help with this, and I really want to stop thinking about it all the time.

Thanks for all your help!

Kurt Vonnegut’s Commencement Address at MIT: (part of):

Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40-year-olds I know still don’t.

Hope that made you feel better :)
