Weird activity occurring on my bank checking account?
Question : Weird activity occurring on my bank checking account?
I am really confused! Two days ago, I received an email that told me that the password to my checking account has been reset. I never changed the password to my account! I try logging in online, however I can’t! Two days later, I call the bank to find out that a big amount of money has been wired out of my account. I really don’t know what to do! I called the bank customer service, and they hardly do any help! What can I do at this moment.

You NEED to speak to the fraud department with your bank asap.
When you received that email about your password, did you click on the site link in the email? Or were you smart enough to NOT click on the link in the email and instead went to your bank website from your own link?
This kind of email is a phishing scam. When you click on the link, you go to a fake site and all the info you input goes directly to the scammers.
You need to contact your bank immediately. Close the account and open a new one. You will have to fill out paperwork to get your money back from the fraudulent transactions.
Make a police report and put a fraud alert on your credit report — freezing all three credit reports would be even better.
