Question : I need some advice. Is it ok to take both Managerial Accounting & Financial Accounting class at the same time?
I am kind of nervous and am wondering if it will be hard to manage those two classes at the same time. I am required to take both those Accounting classes since my major is Accounting. But I just need to know if I’ll be confused taking those two classes at the same time. Or should I take them one at a time?

i don’t think so as long as you can compartmentalize your work. Financial accounting and managerial accounting are very similar but have alot of different concepts and terms. if you can i would take them separately but if you have to take both concurrently then it should be no prob.

If these are principles courses (introductory) they should be taken separately. Usually financial accounting is a prereq to managerial which is taken in the 2nd semester. Managerial acct will have concepts that already assume you had learned in the previous semester, such as the basic accounting cycle. If these are upper division courses, then it’s okay to take them in any order since you would already have had background in the accounting cycle.

Yes, take as much as you can handle, you probably want to graduate fast. Ask your course coordinators if it is possible to do so. By the time you graduate the economy should have picked up.
