There was a time there was a company called Urchin Web Analytics software. Occasionally more likely that company was acquired by Google (early 2005) was the software Google Analytics, and the price was free.
Google Analytics has gained popularity, and many people forget that the original product of Urchin (thinking and those who wanted to remind Urchin can never be updated again).

Urchin is suited for organizations that have content behind a firewall or other restrictions that impede the Google Analytics service.
