Why are Liberals so confused? Job creation and savings is like a bank account,it has to be positive for saving?

Your reasoning is one-dimensional. The money that went to states immediately went to police and teachers that were about to lose jobs. estimate 250,000 educator jobs saved. Those 250,000 that are still employed mean there are residual jobs to support them that also benefit, daycare, coffee shop, restaurant, plus their homes are not foreclosed. There is no scientific way to nail the benefits, all must be estimated. There is no way to prove how many jobs would have been lost up to now if it had been McCain and Palin. Likely it would have been worse, as republicans still believe in the trickle down…that you give the people tax cuts at the top, and they will create jobs. Ha. If only one person per day buys an icecream cone from your shop, and you get a tax cut, will you hire another person to serve that one customer? NO. You need demand to create jobs, not tax cuts. If the low and middle class don’t have living wages, when inflation, energy and healthcare eat an increasing amount of take home $ , there is no disposable income. If there is job insecurity. (Greenspan’s goal all along) wages held down, people won’t buy. Banks are getting money for free from the fed reserve, and investing it in China, and getting their huge salaries and bonuses.

The job erosion is a train without brakes, going down a mountain. It is the accumulation of bad legislation since Regan, bad trade deals, all the manufacturing jobs shipped to China, all the corporate loopholes, and the fact that we are in 2 unnecessary wars, made more costly because the mercenaries hired through KBR, Blackwater are doing the jobs that military used to do, for hundreds of thousands more.

How do you like the fact that there is no spreading of the wealth. Remember Joe the unlicensed plumber and his complaint about spreading the wealth? Happy that the top 1% in the US own as much financial wealth as the bottom 95%? They are not concerned with your mortgage, ability to find decent employment, go to school for new industry, not concerned with affordable health care, clean water, decent roads. The rich always seem to be able to survive economic down-turns, and seem to be able to not see the suffering. They don’t care about you, and Koch, Exxon, United Health have duped you through their astroturf organizations (Freedomworks, etc) and you stand with teabags on your hat protesting against your interest.

You need to understand that the corporations write the legislation for themselves, they influence our elections which would horrify the founding fathers.

Problem is that you don’t have the ability to understand the mechanisms that got us to this point. Read Rolling Stone about Goldmann Sac’s role in bubbles, Watch PBS tomorrow night (Tuesday’s Frontline) The Warning, watch Michael Moore Capitalism. Listen to the news about the inside trading, the derivitives, the hedge funds. Read about leveraged buy-outs and mergers, and understand that the rich buy corporations, tear them apart, lay off people, sell off the profitable parts, make a killing on the stock. they are all about short-term, the me me me and are getting away with it because people like you don’t understand.
