Well there are 2 types of account
1 – API’s (you get a .pdf or a .doc file explaining how to integrate your shopping cart) and transfer secure transactions from your website to the billing gateway internally. (user stays on your website all the time)
2 – VT (Virtual Terminal) or MOTO (mail order telephone order) accounts .. these accounts are good and do not require visa 3d secure means .. whatever card you charge it will be charged instantly .. that’s why they call it MOTO account. like activemerchant.com providing for replica and travel business.
If you have a virtual terminal account you cannot link directly with your gateway .. you must be needing proper integration guide .. they must be providing it .. ask them and they ‘ll help you out .. or let me know and I will integrate it for you.
It depends on the virtual terminal company you have. For example if your company has authorize.net you should be able to get some code to add to your website and offer a “buy it now” button. You could also get yourself a shopping cart and attach the virtual terminal to it. It would be a good idea to make sure you are not being overcharged for your virtual terminal service.
