Philippe Haeck, MD, a partner of Plastic Surgery Associates of Seattle, was elected president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) this week at the Plastic Surgery 2010, the Socialist? s annual scientific meeting. Recorded on Monday, 4 October, and Dr. Haeck the worldâ? S largest plastic surgery association and authority on cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery for a period of one year. As president of ASPS, Dr. Haeck on patient safety is to focus, as well as, training and members of the public.

ASPS Member Surgeon Since 1990, Dr. Haeck board positions, including Treasurer of ASPS / PSEF and historian, and served as chairman of a number of committees SSPA, including patient safety and health policy. He currently serves on the Editorial Board for ASPSâ? medical journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS).
Dr. Haeck has in practice for 24 years and holds American Board of Plastic Surgery certification in 1990. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan and began his surgical training at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. I live in Somerset, Kentucky, and I have Kentucky Health Choices Insurance. Does anyone know what eye dr’s will take that?

Contact your insurance company and ask what providers cover your insurance or you can look online at their website. You’ll more than likely have to login with your insurance information and they should have a list of providers for you. I tried looking up “kentucky health choices” and I could not find a website for them, which i find to be shady. But good luck.
Doctors Are Preferred Source of Health Information New Survey Shows

Patients prefer to get health information from the source they trust most, their own doctor, according to new survey results from Vivacare.
When asked what Website they were most likely to visit when seeking health information, 63.5% of the survey respondents said that they were “most likely” to refer to their own doctor’s Website. Patients reported being more likely to visit their doctor’s site than WebMD (54.8%), professional organizations (50%), the National Library Medicine (29.3%), Wikipedia (25%),and insurance companies (22%). Only 2.6% respondents stated that they were “most likely” to refer to a pharmaceutical company Website.
A 2010 Harris Poll, reported that 62% of all U.S. adults looked for health information online last month. According to this new survey from Vivacare, the majority of these health consumers would prefer to get that information from their own doctor.

“Patients prefer to learn about their health from the person they have already entrusted with their medical care”, said Mark Becker, M.D. pediatrician and President of Vivacare. “Vivacare makes it easy for doctors to provide patients with relevant health information that supports their professional judgment,” he added. “Patients are going online to learn about their diagnosis and treatment options, but it is important that they reinforce their understanding of their own doctor’s perspective before receiving 2nd and 3rd opinions from anonymous online sources”, added Dr. Becker.
The survey was conducted in September 2010 and completed by 100 visitors to dermatologists’ Websites. 60% of respondents stated that they were an existing patient of the practice and 64% reported having an appointment to see the physician within the following 6 months. 87% of respondents stated that they found access to health information on their doctor’s Websites to be either “very” or “moderately” helpful.
