The new senate bill would raise federal deposit insurance limits to $ 250,000 from $ 100,000. I see no mention of NCUA–the credit union insurance fund.

Obama is on those committees, and yes he is chairman of the Subcommittee on European affairs, but he never ever called a meeting. He has bragged several times about being on other subcommittee investigations, but truth in broadcasting showed that he missed the meetings on the committees when they voted on those issues. To answer your question, they have advisors that prepare them for the debates.

As I understand it, the bill forces all Americans to have health insurance. However, I think that the fine for having no health insurance is around $ 750. But after the year 2014, health insurance companies will not be able to turn customers away for preexisting conditions. Why wouldnt someone pay the fine or buy low end coverage until they got ill and supplement the coverage or buy an extensive plan?

I work in Debt Settlement for an extremely ethical, 100% above-board company who work to assist our customers with legally, legitimately getting out of (unsecured) debt so they can move on with their lives. Yes, legislation is needed to regulate the industry to ensure that all Debt Settlement companies have clearly defined requirements that protect consumers, but our government is trying to villify the industry as a whole, exemplifying contempt without genuine investigation.
