Question : Do correctional officers in Texas get paid for their 6 week training? My sweetheart is about to start the training in Beeville and we are trying to do some financial planning. I heard that they do get paid because it is full time and he won’t be able to work during that time. Also, what are the hours? Thanks! financial planning training

Answer by NightriderThe hours are 8am to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday ( weekends off) and he will be paid the same rate as what he will get at his facility after graduation.
